The Quest of Keppoch Mountain is a contemporary, well-paced adventure story involving tree spirits, spirited children and a worldwide computer network of Kids Involved with the Wild World. The tree spirits are despairing that there are few mature trees left on this earth for them to live in, that it might be time for them to leave the planet. Kendra tries to imagine forests without any spirit in the trees, like skeletons of extinct creatures and she knows that she must do all she can to prevent this from happening.

About the Author
The Quest of Keppoch Mountain
is the second novel for young readers by Rita Baruss. Ever since she was young girl, Rita has been fascinated by the unseen energies that animate our lives. She is learning that these energies can be perceived with our thoughts, feelings, intuition and creative imagination. Rita brings her insights into her adventure stories, hoping, in turn, to inspire here readers to explore the wonderful words of energy and spirit. Rita lives with her husband and three youngest children in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, close to the real Keppoch Mountain (that, she must confess, is only a modest hill size for those living in the Rockies, Alps or Himalayas.
