Marion Heath (1931-2025) obtained a BA in English from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, a Masters in Religious Education from Union Seminary in New York, and a teaching certificate from Toronto, where she taught for some years. Her book Stories from Stones, published by Borealis Press, has descriptions, stories, and pictures of cairns in Ontario. She has also written The Competition in Russia, a story for Grade 9 studies, and many articles about cairns and other monuments.
